First announcement of the 10th Conference of the European Foundation for Plant Pathology (EFPP):

“IPM2.0

Towards future-proof crop protection in Europe”

The 10th conference will be organized by the Royal Netherlands Society for Plant Pathology (KNPV) in Wageningen The Netherlands from 1 – 5 October 2012

The EFPP conference “IPM2.0” will be the exhilarating event on plant disease management. The central theme is what research can offer to practice towards compliance with the ambitious aims of the National Action Plans that each member state of the EU has to adopt in the framework the new EU regulation on Integrated Pest Management (IPM).  Hence we interpret IPM also as “International, Practical and Measurable”.

The meeting comprises many sessions that target case studies with Best Practices of IPM on the entire cropping systems, as well as disciplinary specific sessions on elements of IPM.  In addition, no-jargon key-notes will explain recent technologies and how they can be applied in future  IPM approaches.

As such “IPM2.0” is a multidisciplinary conference bringing all stakeholders to the stage and enabling a broad evaluation of existing and required technologies and their implementation for disease management in a broad variety of agronomical settings.
